1. On Monday, the students are following instructions to build a haunted house. This is a great chance to reflect on word choice, organization, and penmanship.
2. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the students will be reading Monkey's Paw, watching the movie, and discussing plot outline. There might be homework on Tuesday night in order to finish up on the reading.
3. On Thursday, the students will start Persuasive Writing
4. On Friday, the students will continue with Persuasive Writing and grammar
Cake Auction on Monday, October 31st.
November Plans:
- Reading graphic novels: if you have your own graphic novel, please bring it in. Find a graphic novel that you haven't read yet. There are tons in the libraries. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is not a graphic novel.
- Paragraph writing (point, proof, comment format)
